Each board is fixed to horizontal timber rails with the thicker edge covering the thinner edge of the adjoining board. This traditional installation method allows contractors and experienced DIY users to build fencing to the required height, length and ground profile rather than relying on pre-assembled panels.
Suitable for gardens, commercial boundaries, landscaping projects and agricultural applications, feather edge boards provide a practical solution for both new fencing and localised repairs. Individual boards can be trimmed on site to accommodate sloping ground, corners and non-standard fence runs. When correctly fixed to suitable posts and rails, the overlapping construction creates a durable, low-maintenance fence that can be repaired one board at a time. Timber posts, back rails, kicker boards, top caps and appropriate fixings are available separately to complete the installation.
