The RB22 Mesh Fence Panel is an anti-climb steel extension designed for installation above the RB22 crash-tested water-filled barrier. It raises the completed system to approximately 2.2m while retaining clear sightlines across roadworks, infrastructure projects and high-risk construction zones. This makes it suitable where contractors need increased perimeter height and restricted-access control without obscuring traffic, pedestrians, CCTV coverage or active operations.
The welded mesh panel is manufactured from steel with a high-visibility white powder-coated finish for repeated exterior use. When installed with the required support poles and correctly filled RB22 barriers in the manufacturer’s specified configuration, the mesh system has been MIRA wind tested to 77.9mph without reaching failure. Its open construction reduces wind loading compared with solid hoarding while discouraging climbing and unauthorised entry. Compatible pedestrian gates, vehicle gates and alternative hoarding panels allow the perimeter to be adapted around access points and screening requirements. Site exposure, corners, changes in direction and gate openings must be assessed before installation.
