Product Overview
10mm Limestone – 20kg Weatherproof Bag contains small, durable limestone chippings suitable for drainage, concrete mixing and general landscaping. The relatively compact grading produces a neat finish for paths, borders and decorative areas while leaving spaces between the stones through which water can drain. Its manageable bag size is convenient for smaller projects, repair work and areas that are difficult to reach with a bulk delivery.
This aggregate can be incorporated into an appropriate concrete mix or used around drainage installations, pipework and other groundwork where clean stone is specified. It may also be laid as a decorative surface over a properly prepared base and suitable weed control membrane. Although usable on lightly trafficked driveways with adequate preparation and secure edging, the smaller chippings can move more readily under vehicle tyres than larger gravel. Because it contains no compacting fines, 10mm limestone should not be treated as a substitute for MOT Type 1 when constructing a load-bearing sub-base.

A. Yes. Limestone aggregate can be used in concrete, but the cement, sand, water and aggregate proportions must suit the required application and performance.
Q. Can it be used as a driveway surface?
A. It can be used on suitably prepared, lightly trafficked driveways, although 10mm stone may move under vehicle tyres. A sound sub-base and secure edging are essential.
Q. Can this replace MOT Type 1?
A. No. Clean 10mm limestone does not contain the fine particles required to form the same dense, compacted sub-base as MOT Type 1.
Q. How much area will one 20kg bag cover?
A. Coverage depends on depth and surface conditions. As a guide, one bag should cover approximately 0.3m² at a depth of 50mm.
