    Product Overview
Bow Top Railing Systems provide an open steel boundary distinguished by continuous rounded loops rather than pointed or projecting tops. Their approachable appearance makes them particularly suitable for schools, parks, playgrounds, housing developments and community spaces where perimeter definition must balance durability, visibility and public-facing design. The vertical-bar arrangement clearly separates pedestrian areas, landscaped grounds and property boundaries while retaining views through the perimeter.

Manufactured in-house from steel, bow top railings can be supplied galvanised for corrosion protection and powder-coated in a selected RAL colour. The rigid construction withstands regular outdoor use while requiring relatively little ongoing maintenance. Rounded upper sections reduce exposed edges and create a less severe appearance than security palisade or pointed railings, although bow top systems should be regarded as general boundary protection rather than high-security fencing. Standard 2.75m bays are available in 0.9m and 1.2m heights, making the system suitable for different levels of containment, boundary definition and pedestrian management.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Toggle

    Q. What heights and bay widths are available?
    A. Standard Bow Top Railing Systems are available in 0.9m and 1.2m heights. Each railing bay is 2750mm wide, and the system is calculated in 2.75m sets.

    Q. Are Bow Top Railing Systems supplied galvanised?
    A. A galvanised finish is available to protect the steel against corrosion. Powder-coated colour finishes can also be selected according to the required project specification.

    Q. Can I choose a bespoke RAL colour?
    A. Yes. Standard options include RAL 6005 green and RAL 9005 black, with other RAL colours available to order. Bespoke colours may require additional manufacturing time.

    Q. Are bow top railings suitable for schools and playgrounds?
    A. Their rounded upper profile makes them a popular choice for schools, playgrounds and public spaces where exposed pointed tops would be unsuitable. The complete installation must still meet the project’s safeguarding, spacing and risk-assessment requirements.

    Q. Can Bow Top Railing Systems follow sloping ground?
    A. Rigid railing bays are normally stepped between posts rather than raked. Changes in level, corners, ends and gate openings may require additional posts or a site-specific layout.
