Excavator Fencers Graft – Type 1 – 54” Grey (Sitemate)

£35.00 ex VAT

Product Overview
Excavator Fencers Graft – Type 1 – 54” Grey (Sitemate) is an all-steel digging tool designed for cutting into compacted ground and preparing deep, narrow fence-post holes. Its long shaft reduces the need for repeated bending, while the hardened square-tapered blade concentrates force into the ground and creates controlled, straighter cuts around the excavation.

The reinforced steel construction makes this graft suitable for repeated fencing, landscaping and groundwork tasks. Welded reinforcement behind the blade socket helps resist bending, while a strengthening sleeve supports the lower shaft in the highest-stress area. Compared with the Type 2 graft, the Type 1 has a longer, square-tapered blade that provides a broader cutting profile. It is designed primarily for loosening and cutting ground; a double shovel holer is useful for removing the resulting spoil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Toggle

Q. What is the difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 graft?
A. The Type 1 has a longer square-tapered blade measuring approximately 280 x 146mm. The Type 2 uses a slightly shorter round-tapered blade designed to concentrate force into a narrower point.

Q. Does the 54” measurement include the blade?
A. The 54” designation refers to the nominal shaft length. The complete tool, including its blade and socket, is approximately 1750mm long.

Q. Will the graft remove soil from the completed hole?
A. It can loosen and move some material, but its principal purpose is cutting and breaking ground. A double shovel holer is more efficient for lifting loose spoil from a deep hole.

Q. Is this graft electrically insulated?
A. No verified insulation rating is stated. Choose a BS 8020-rated insulated graft where buried electrical services present an identified risk.
