Product Overview
End Slotted Concrete Posts provide a secure termination point at the beginning or end of a fencing run. Each post has one pre-formed 50mm slot that holds the final compatible timber panel fencing and concrete gravel board, producing a neat finished edge without requiring separate panel brackets. Typical positions include the end of a garden boundary, beside an access opening or where fencing finishes against open ground.

Steel-reinforced concrete provides a durable, low-maintenance alternative to timber end posts because it will not rot, suffer insect damage or require preservative treatment. The range covers low decorative fencing through to taller privacy boundaries, with the correct post selected according to the combined height of the fence panel and concrete gravel board. Installation depth and foundation size must also suit the ground conditions and anticipated loading. These posts are designed to terminate one straight fencing run and should not be substituted for intermediate, corner or three-way posts elsewhere in the layout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Toggle

Q. Which end post height should I choose?
A. Select the post according to the combined above-ground height of the fence panel and gravel board:
• 4’6” post – approximately 3ft finished fencing
• 5’9” post – approximately 4ft finished fencing
• 6’9” post – approximately 5ft finished fencing
• 7’9” post – approximately 6ft finished fencing
• 8’9” post – approximately 7ft finished fencing
Ground conditions and the required installation depth must also be considered.

Q. What is the difference between end and intermediate posts?
A. An end post has one slot for terminating a fencing run. An intermediate post has opposing slots so panels can continue in a straight line on both sides.

Q. Can an end post be used to hang a gate?
A. Do not assume the post is suitable for supporting a gate. Gate leaves create different loads from fence panels, so a correctly specified gate post and suitable hardware should be used.

Q. Can these posts be installed by one person?
A. The posts weigh approximately 35kg to 70kg and are awkward to manoeuvre. Suitable assistance or mechanical handling should be arranged for the larger sizes.
