Product Overview:
Cranked Band & Hook On Plate – 12″ 300mm Galvanised (GATEMATE®) – Pair is a traditional hinge set for hanging smaller to medium-sized timber gates. Each cranked band fits to the gate and locates over a hook plate secured to the supporting post. The cranked shape offsets the gate from the pivot point, allowing its front face to sit flush with the front of the post when closed.
This configuration is commonly used for garden gates, side gates and timber access gates where neat alignment and reliable everyday operation are required. Galvanised steel construction provides corrosion resistance for exposed outdoor installations, while the 300mm bands distribute the load across the gate framework. The lift-off design also allows the gate to be removed in the open position for maintenance. These are fixed rather than adjustable hinges, so the hook plates must be positioned accurately and fitted to a sound gate post.
