Product Overview:
The Ring Gate Latch – 6″ 150mm Galvanised (GATEMATE®) provides a straightforward way to open and secure timber garden gates, side gates, shed doors and pedestrian entrances. Ring handles on both sides allow the latch to be operated from either direction, making it convenient for frequently used access points. Its traditional design suits closeboard gates, framed timber gates and other domestic gate styles without introducing an unnecessarily complicated locking mechanism.
Galvanised steel construction provides corrosion resistance for outdoor installation and offers greater durability than lightly finished decorative fittings. The latch bar engages with the receiver to hold the gate closed during normal use, while the spindle connects the two ring handles for operation from both sides. Compatible fixings are supplied, reducing the need to source installation hardware separately. This product is a closing latch rather than a security lock, so a Brenton padbolt or another suitable locking device should be fitted where padlock-compatible security is required.
