Product Overview:
The Sidegate Kit (Suffolk Latch) – 18″ 450mm Galvanised (GATEMATE®) provides coordinated hardware for hanging, operating and securing a medium-duty timber side gate. It is suitable for garden entrances, passageways, residential boundaries and other pedestrian access points where traditional gate furniture is preferred. The 450mm tee hinges spread the gate load across the timber framework, helping maintain alignment and smooth movement during everyday use.
The galvanised finish provides corrosion resistance for normal outdoor installation, while the heavy Suffolk latch offers straightforward thumb-operated opening and a traditional appearance. A separate Brenton padbolt provides an additional locking point and can accept a suitable padlock when greater security is required. Supplied fixings remove the uncertainty of sourcing compatible screws and fittings separately. This kit is intended for typical domestic side gates; particularly large, heavy or frequently operated gates may require heavier-duty hinges and gate furniture selected according to the gate’s dimensions, construction and weight.
