Product Overview:
The Garage Door Bolt – 18″ 450mm Galvanised (GATEMATE®) provides a practical way to secure one leaf of a garage door, double gate or large timber entrance. The long sliding bolt engages with a receiver in the floor or ground, preventing the door or gate from moving when closed. It is commonly used on double garage doors, timber driveway gates, shed doors and stable doors where a firm lower fixing point is required.
Steel construction provides the strength needed for repeated operation, while the galvanised finish protects against corrosion during normal outdoor use. The 450mm length offers sufficient reach for larger doors and gates and provides a convenient operating position above ground level. Both tubular and square receiver options are supplied, allowing the installer to select the arrangement that best suits the installation surface. This garage door bolt restrains movement but is not a lock by itself, so suitable locking furniture should be installed separately where additional access security is required.
